Barbra Streisand<\/strong>\u00a0has shared a touching tribute to her\u00a0A Star is Born<\/em>\u00a0costar, the late\u00a0Kris Kristofferson<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Streisand, 82, took to\u00a0Instagram\u00a0on the evening of Sunday, September 29, to mourn the country music singer\u00a0who died\u00a0at his home one day prior at the age of 88.<\/p>\n Sharing a screenshot of the\u00a0A Star is Born<\/em>\u00a0album cover, released in 1976 to coincide with the film\u2019s release, and a more recent shot of the pair performing together, Streisand reflected on her early impressions of Kristofferson.<\/p>\n \u201cThe first time I saw Kris performing at the Troubadour club in L.A. I knew he was something special. Barefoot and strumming his guitar, he seemed like the perfect choice for a script I was developing, which eventually became\u00a0A Star Is Born<\/em>,\u201d she captioned the post. \u201cIn the movie, Kris and I sang the song I\u2019d written for the film\u2019s main love theme, \u201cEvergreen.\u201d<\/p>\n She continued, \u201cFor my latest concert in 2019 at London\u2019s Hyde Park, I asked Kris to join me on-stage to sing our other\u00a0A Star Is Born<\/em>\u00a0duet, \u201cLost Inside Of You.\u201d He was as charming as ever, and the audience showered him with applause. It was a joy seeing him receive the recognition and love he so richly deserved.\u201d<\/p>\n Streisand concluded the post by paying her respects to Kristofferson\u2019s family.<\/p>\n \u201cMy thoughts go to Kris\u2019 wife, Lisa who I know supported him in every way possible,\u201d Streisand wrote.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
