Everyone wants to see Shohei Ohtani, especially now in the World Series against the New York Yankees. There is no question that he can help the Los Angeles Dodgers on offense with his bat and running on the bases, but can he help the team on the mound?

The Japanese star will end the season fulfilling only his duties as a designated hitter after the manager of the Dodgers, Dave Roberts, assured that the multifunctional player will not pitch against the Yankees during the 2024 World Series.

At media day before the first game, Roberts was blunt in saying that there is no way Ohtani can even make a brief appearance on the mound. “There’s no chance, none,” Roberts said at Dodger Stadium on Thursday. “Thanks for asking.”
