Some individuals go on dates, some work out, and some focus entirely on their careers after a separation, but Jennifer Lopez is reportedly handling her divorce from Ben Affleck by spending a “outrageous” amount on a number of items. According to sources who spoke with InTouch Weekly, Lopez is supposedly spending a lot of money on an entourage, a new house, and other things, “throwing around money like she’s a billionaire right now, which just isn’t the case.”

The source claimed, “She’s beefing up her entourage, which means her weekly spending has instantly tripled because they all go with her wherever she goes.” She’s going on extravagant buying sprees for herself. She claims she requires what she refers to as “retail therapy,” but the costs are exorbitant. She habitually spends a few hundred thousand dollars per day on high-end clothing for herself and her entourage. Though she claims it’s worth it since it makes her happy, the way she’s spending money at the moment is insane.

She is allegedly ignoring the fact that she will likely have to pay a large amount for the divorce and a new residence. “It’s evidently not sitting well with her that there’s no way out of paying Ben half of what she made during their marriage,” they stated.

(Insiders also stated earlier in the year that she is prepared to spend a lot of money on attorneys during this divorce).

You might now be thinking, what is Lopez’s net worth? According to Celebrity Net Worth, she is estimated to earn approximately $40 million annually from her business endeavors and entertainment endeavors, which include JLo Beauty, Delola, her lifestyle brand, and JLO Jennifer Lopez, her footwear line.

For those who don’t know, Lopez and Affleck met on the set of the film Gigli. They started dating soon after and got engaged by the end of 2002.

In 2003, they postponed their wedding and then broke up days before, due to the paparazzi and pressure they faced, and were broken up by 2004.

Then, in 2021, Lopez and Affleck rekindled their romance. A year later, they got engaged and married in a lavish ceremony. Then, after months of speculation, per TMZ, Lopez filed for divorce on Aug. 20, noting the date of separation is April 26, 2024.
