This year’s Kegsmas beneficiary is the Atlanta Community Food Bank, chosen by Swims—a musical icon known for his R&B, soul, country, and pop mixes—to aid in the fight against hunger in Atlanta through community engagement, education, and empowerment. Nearly 9 million meals are distributed monthly by the Atlanta Community Food Bank and 700 other community organisations to neighbours in metro Atlanta and north Georgia who are facing food insecurity. This totals 10.3 million pounds each month.

In a statement issued by Atlanta Community Food Bank President and CEO Kyle Waide, the organisation expressed its profound appreciation to Teddy Swims for designating the Atlanta Community Food Bank as the beneficiary of this year’s Kegsmas. “Hunger is a problem all year round, not just around the holidays. With Teddy’s support, we can help feed families in need and spread the word about how important it is to donate, volunteer, and fight for hunger relief on a daily basis.”

In addition to Swims’ spectacular performance, officials from the Food Bank were on-site, giving information about their programs, resources, and services, including meal distribution, hunger education, and food access initiatives.

Swims started the Annual Kegsmas Charity Event in 2013 to bring the community together through music and giving back to causes near to his heart. Over the years, the event has developed into a treasured tradition, earning considerable dollars and publicity for local charities, with each year emphasising a different group making a big difference.
