Dani Pedrosa was one of the most technical riders in recent years in MotoGP and earned high praise from Casey Stoner, his former rival and teammate. And while the Australian believes that riders\u2019 technique is taking a back seat to bike development, the former rider considers that there are many more things that are ceasing to exist.<\/p>\n

Two-time world champion Stoner came out publicly defending drastic changes in MotoGP, with this being a category that should be more purist and less technological, as he again stated to La Gazzetta dello Sport:<\/p>\n

\u2013 The only reason why this category is the most difficult is because you have to consider many things: traction, tire management, wheelies\u2026 now all of this has disappeared. It\u2019s a championship for engineers, not for riders.<\/em><\/p>\n
