{"id":686,"date":"2024-10-04T10:51:00","date_gmt":"2024-10-04T10:51:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newssoccer.uk\/?p=686"},"modified":"2024-10-04T10:51:00","modified_gmt":"2024-10-04T10:51:00","slug":"charles-leclerc-assesses-lewis-hamilton-challenge-dont-know-weaknesses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newssoccer.uk\/?p=686","title":{"rendered":"Charles Leclerc assesses Lewis Hamilton challenge: \u2018I don\u2019t know his weaknesses\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Charles Leclerc assesses Lewis Hamilton challenge: \u2018I don\u2019t know his weaknesses\u2019<\/h1>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.crash.net\/styles\/img_400\/s3\/2024-10\/XPB_1301745_HiRes.jpg?itok=Gx2ADRIh\" alt=\"Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc\" \/><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Charles Leclerc\u00a0has admitted he\u2019s \u201csuper curious\u201d to see how\u00a0Lewis Hamilton\u00a0works &#8211; and why he\u2019s been so successful in F1 when he joins Ferrari next year.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Hamilton and Leclerc will form an F1 super-team when they join forces at Ferrari for the 2025 campaign.<\/p>\n<aside id=\"block-inject--ad_manager_block:mpu1_mobile\">\n<div class=\"block block-ad-manager block-ad-manager-blockmpu1-mobile\">\n<div class=\"contextual-region\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/aside>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The seven-time world champion shocked the sporting world in February when his shock decision to join Ferrari from Mercedes was announced.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Hamilton has spent his entire F1 career within the Mercedes family, starting off with McLaren-Mercedes in 2007.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">He switched to the Mercedes works team in 2013, winning six of his seven titles with them.<\/p>\n<aside id=\"block-inject--ad_manager_block:mpu2_mobile\">\n<div class=\"block block-ad-manager block-ad-manager-blockmpu2-mobile\">\n<div class=\"contextual-region\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/aside>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">In an interview with The Race, Leclerc assessed the challenge of going up against Hamilton.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">&#8220;I will be super curious to see what he has done right for all his career to have had all the success that he&#8217;s had,&#8221; Leclerc said. &#8220;He has very little weaknesses &#8211; well actually, I don&#8217;t know any weaknesses of Lewis. He&#8217;s a super strong driver, always there, super fast, super consistent.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">&#8220;It will be super interesting for me to learn from Lewis, as much as showing what I am capable of in the same car as Lewis. These two things motivate me a lot.&#8221;<\/p>\n<aside id=\"block-inject--ad_manager_block:300x1\">\n<div class=\"block block-ad-manager block-ad-manager-block300x1\">\n<div class=\"contextual-region\">\n<div class=\"ad-300x1-wrapper\">\n<div id=\"300x1\" data-google-query-id=\"COXTkMzG9IgDFeciBgAdisQInA\">\n<div id=\"google_ads_iframe_\/122227034\/CRASH\/1x1_ConnatixVideo_0__container__\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/aside>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Leclerc comfortably beat\u00a0Sebastian Vettel\u00a0across their two years together as teammates, so going up against a multiple-time world champion isn\u2019t unusual territory for the Monegasque.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The current Ferrari acknowledged the strength of his teammates throughout his time in F1, conceding it\u2019s better to have strong internal competition than a \u201cnumber two driver\u201d alongside you.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">&#8220;Since I got into Formula 1, I have been very lucky,&#8221; Leclerc added. &#8220;Instead of thinking that I wish I had a number two driver as a teammate, I have always thought it is so much better to have the best as your teammate.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">&#8220;I have had very, very fast teammates who have pushed me forward and with Lewis I will learn a lot as well.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Leclerc sits third in the 2024 F1 drivers\u2019 standings with two victories to his name.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Charles Leclerc assesses Lewis Hamilton challenge: \u2018I don\u2019t know his weaknesses\u2019 Charles Leclerc\u00a0has admitted he\u2019s \u201csuper curious\u201d to see how\u00a0Lewis Hamilton\u00a0works &#8211; and why he\u2019s been so successful in F1 when he joins Ferrari next year.
