Stana Katic appears as one of the suspects in tonight’s Murder in a Small Town, which airs on Global TV in Canada and Fox in the United States. Murder in a Small Town follows big city cop Karl Alberg (Rossif Sutherland) as he moves to the small town of Gibson to become its police chief, only to discover that there is more drama than he thought in this peaceful coastal village.In episode three, Karl Alberg investigates the death of Gibson resident Zoe Strachan (Stana Katic)’s estranged brother Benjamin (Ben Cotton), based on L.R. Wright’s third Alberg Mystery, A Chill Rain in January.
Karl Alberg (Rossif Sutherland) finds solace in a small town on Canada’s ‘Sunshine Coast’, where the local librarian (Kristin Kreuk) is attractive, intelligent, and unattached.
However, the town hides many secrets, some of which are bleak enough to make a man yearn for simple urban crime.
The cops: Aaron Douglas portrays Sergeant Sid Sokolowski, Karl Alberg’s second in command. Myra Lowe stars as Corporal Edwina Yen, a criminology graduate who recently arrived on the coast and is a cop on the rise.
Savanna Spracklin portrays Isabella Harbud, a civilian receptionist with a wry sense of humour. Fritzy-Klevans Destine stars as Constable Andy Kendrick, a competent cop who is also a charming jackass.
Murder in a Small Town is one of Fox’s international content initiatives. Murder in the Small Town: Gibsons filming dates are January 31, 2024 – May 11, 2024: Showrunner: Ian Weir.
