did not exactly jump for joy over the league’s annual All-Star Game abandoning the playoff-style picking of teams last year, with the yearly exhibition tilt widely panned and narrowly watched as a result of unpopular changes put forth as the way the game would be run for the 2024 iteration of the event.
Now, the league’s front office has devised a new way to organize the event, after one that reportedly has Hall of Fame Boston Celtics small forward Larry Bird disgusted. Will he like the new format more than what they did last season? Semi-eponymous cohost Bob Ryan of the CLNS Media “Bob Ryan, Jeff Goodman, and Gary Tanguay!” podcast linked up with Bird on a recent call, and the Hick From French Lick opened up about how he sees the state of the league today.
