However, after winning the beautiful game, Sabalenka underwent a rapid transformation by hair and makeup experts for the champion photoshoot in New York City – and FEMAIL has all the details on her vivid look.
Sabalenka, born in Belarus, wore a stunning sleeveless red gown with a turtleneck and thigh-high slit. Makeup artist Monika Crouch created a bronzed look for her, while Julien Farel stylist Jonn Rhamani styled her with free hair.
The ensemble was completed with a matching red nail paint and stylish, stiletto heels.
‘The crimson nightgown was the embodiment of her good fortune has arrived, you know? Rhamani informed DailyMail.com.
And so we wanted to give her beautiful, smoldering curls rather than beach waves,’ he explained.
To bring the concept to reality, Rhamani utilized Julien Farel’s Restore Shampoo and the salon’s volumizer to add texture and bounce.
While curling the tennis player’s hair, Rhamani revealed that they had to ‘work in’ the volumizer because they were dealing with a rainstorm that night and wanted to ensure everything held up.
Fortunately, it did, and Sabalenka looked lovely as she took images for the championship shoot and beyond.
‘She already has wonderful hair… so I was already dealing with fantastic material,’ he said of the tennis champion. ‘It’s an incredible canvas.’
Sabalenka’s makeup artist, Monika Crouch, opted for a radiant, bronzed look to complement her post-match radiance.
Crouch also wanted to make sure she highlighted Sabalenka’s innate beauty.
‘I looked at some photographs of her previous makeup, and I was just striving for something really traditional,’ Crouch told DailyMail.com.
