He is currently working towards a full recovery, and it was confirmed this morning that he will be moving from the Red Bull KTM team to the Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing Team in 2025. Everts, a third-generation rider who follows in the footsteps of his grandfather Harry and father Stefan, is about to debut his new number, #26, on his Husqvarna FC 250. The 2025 MXGP season begins with the MXGP of Argentina on March 2, 2025.
Husqvarna issued the following press release:
Liam Everts joins Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing: gearing up for MX2 in 2025.
With a new start and a new race number, Liam Everts is ready to make his imprint in the next chapter of his motocross career.

Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing is thrilled to announce that Liam Everts, one of motocross’s most promising young riders, will join the team for the 2025 MX2 season. Everts will ride alongside reigning MX2 World Champion Kay de Wolf, making a formidable combo that seems certain to dominate the FIM MX2 Motocross World Championship.
Liam Everts, 20, from Hasselt, Belgium, has a prestigious motocross lineage as the son of ten-time world champion Stefan Everts and grandson of four-time world champion Harry Everts. While his family lineage likely influenced his early career, Liam’s personal achievements now speak for themselves.
