Richard’s co-host Susanna Reid squirmed as she tried to joke off the heated exchange.
After Laura provided an update on the weather for Donald Trump’s inauguration, followed by a look at the UK’s outlook for this week, Richard inquired: “So, is that frigid weather in Washington heading our way?
She offered this explanation: “The freezing weather makes the jet stream stronger and then it will bring us storm weather by the end of the week.”
Laura snapped, “Yes, Richard, I literally just said that.” That’s exactly what occurred.
Susanna made fun of him after he acted out the snow with his hand.
“Come on,” Richard said, laughing. “Talk with the hand.”
Laura said, “My next weather forecast will just be in mime.”
Richard responded, “Oh really, so we could have snow by next weekend?”
Laura said in an interview with The Sun about Richard: “Richard is funny, and I don’t think he realises he has no filter.”He just speaks what he thinks, but from the heart, and sometimes he says ‘you know what I was thinking’, and you think ‘no, I don’t know what you were thinking.
