Iowa legends Caitlin Clark and Kate Martin received unfortunate news when it was announced that former Hawkeyes radio analyst Jamie Cavey-Lang passed away on Saturday after a hard-fought battle with cancer.She was 41 years old.
Like Clark and Martin, Cavey-Lang was also a standout player at Iowa before becoming a media personality. She finished with 1,265 career points and was a three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree and two-time All-Big Ten selection8
Clark, who now stars for the Indiana Fever, paid tribute to Cavey-Lang on her Instagram Story, sharing a picture of them and saying she will forever cherish their “special memories.”
Martin, who will suit up for the Golden State Valkyries next season, also wrote a poignant message after learning of Cavey-Lang’s passing
“One of the best and funniest people I know,” wrote Martin on her Instagram story. “She will be missed.”
