
The Alabama Crimson Tide will look to replace its Director of Sports Science after the 2024 football season. According to a news release from Jacksonville State Football, Dr. Will Wright will take over as head Strength and Conditioning Coach.

Dr. Wright was the Director of Sports Science for football for seven years, as well as the Assistant Strength Coach and Director of Sports Performance for Adapted Athletics. During the 2024 football season, Wright oversaw all sports science testing and analysis for the Crimson Tide football team, as well as assisting with all football training sessions.
Wright’s involvement with Adapted Athletics is thought to be the first of its kind for a university.
Prior to his stay at Alabama, Wright attended Huntingdon College and received his BA degree. He also attended Troy, Alabama State, and Valdosta State, where he obtained his master’s degree as a graduate assistant strength coach, as well as Louisiana State University.
Wright obtained his PhD in human performance while attending Alabama.
