Arch Manning, quarterback for the Texas Longhorns, now officially has wings. Manning, a former five-star recruit and anticipated starter for the 2025 season, has officially signed a new NIL contract with Red Bull.
Red Bull stated on Instagram, “target locked, wiiings secured @archmanning.
While no details about Manning’s arrangement with Red Bull are immediately public, it is evident that the Texas quarterback is swiftly becoming one of college football’s faces. Manning’s NIL valuation is $6.6 million, according to On3. That also places him #1 in the NIL 100, indicating that he has the highest NIL valuation of any college or high school athlete, regardless of sports.
The On3 NIL valuation is the industry’s top index, determining the standard market NIL value for high school and college athletes. On3 NIL Valuation, a proprietary methodology, calculates the total NIL market and an athlete’s predicted 12-month growth rate by measuring two categories: roster value and NIL.
The majority of athletes’ earnings are based on their roster value. Roster Value uses a proprietary Roster Management algorithm to collect data from all school groups, athletes, and representatives. NIL value assesses the licensing and sponsorship markets using exposure and social media impact. The On3 NIL valuation is calculated by combining roster value with NIL.
There have always been high hopes for Arch Manning. Some of it goes back to his family. His grandfather and uncles were all accomplished NFL quarterbacks. Furthermore, his father, Cooper Manning, was a brilliant athlete until suffering an accident that ended his playing career. So he comes from a family of successful quarterbacks.
Furthermore, coming out of high school, Manning established himself as one of the best quarterback prospects in recent history. He was a five-star recruit for the Class of 2023, according to the On3 Industry Ranking. He was also the highest-ranked quarterback and overall prospect during that recruitment cycle.
Despite that background, Manning has mostly served as Quinn Ewers’ backup in his first two seasons at Texas, filling in for packages and relieving Ewers when he was injured. Manning has completed 66.3 percent of his throws during that span, totaling 969 yards and nine touchdowns with two interceptions. He has also run for 115 yards and four touchdowns.
Manning, however, faces tremendous expectations in 2024. On3’s Ari Wasserman ranks him as a Top-10 returning college football player, and there is hope that he may help Texas return to the College Football Playoff.
