The Kate Martin Show is set to launch a new platform.
After finishing her first year in the WNBA, the Las Vegas Aces guard announced on social media that she has joined Unrivalled, a new 3-on-3 women’s basketball league that will start in January 2025. Martin announced the news on her Instagram and X pages on October 28.
Martin joins Aces teammates Chelsea Grey, Kelsey Plum, Tiffany Hayes, and Jackie Young, who have all signed with the new 3-on-3 league.

Martin, known for her overall skill and exceptional court vision, averaged 2.5 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game in her maiden WNBA season (23 appearances). While her numbers are modest, her hustle and efficiency have offered depth to the Aces roster.
Martin made her first start on June 9, scoring a season-high 13 points, one of two times she reached double figures this season. Her contributions proved essential to the Aces, who finished the regular season with a 27-13 record.
Fans were clearly delighted to get another chance to witness “Money Martin” in action.
“Let’s go, Kate Money Martin! You deserve it! One fan commented on Martin’s post: “All of your hard work has paid off and this is your reward.”
“Whatever team she’s on … that’s my team!!!,” another said.
Others simply celebrated using gifs:
There is no news yet on whether Clark will join Martin in Unrivalled, but Iowa fans would undoubtedly flip out if the couple reunited in any manner, shape, or form.
So, what is unrivalled exactly?
Unrivalled will feature a 3-on-3 format designed to highlight some of the best women’s basketball players.Unrivalled, founded by Minnesota Lynx star Napheesa Collier and New York Liberty standout Breanna Stewart, promises to provide WNBA fans with a high-energy, viewer-friendly experience throughout the offseason.
The league, located in Miami, will have 30 players spread over six teams, with games played on an LED-lit court and a broadcast deal with TNT. The goal is for players to improve their talents while still performing at their best all year. It will also pay its players more than they would make in the WNBA.

Unrivaled’s financial and ownership concept is unique, with the goal of providing players with unmatched income potential. The league will offer the highest average wage in women’s professional sports, as well as equity holdings, giving players a financial interest in the league’s continued success. Unrivalled players should expect to earn at least $100,000 each year, including equity.
Megan Rapinoe, a female football star, and NBA veteran Steve Nash are among the investors.
Unrivaled’s three-on-three style is consistent with a global trend in basketball that favours fast-paced, high-scoring games, which gained popularity at the Olympics. Collier and Stewart hope to capitalise on this attraction while increasing spectator engagement with shorter, more intense games that are easier to follow than regular five-on-five basketball. With large sponsorships anticipated, the league hopes to capitalise on the growing interest in women’s sports and attract new viewers.
Martin, who had the fourth-best-selling jersey in the WNBA last season, is a skilled and popular player who might benefit the team.
