Michigan continues to attract high-end talent. Michigan had previously recruited five athletes through the portal, and on Saturday, they added a sixth. Former Georgia linebacker Troy Bowles, son of Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles, has committed to Sherrone Moore and Company.
Bowles attended Georgia as a member of the 2023 class. He was a four-star linebacker and placed 80th overall in the Composite. He is a Tampa (Florida) prospect. He chose the Bulldogs over Alabama, Ohio State, and Oklahoma, among others.
Bowles, a 6-foot, 220-pound linebacker, might see instant action in Ann Arbour next season. The current plan is to transfer Jaishawn Barham from linebacker to edge (provided he returns for a senior season), which would free up a slot next to Ernest Hausmann at linebacker.
Bowles did not have any numbers for Georgia this season, but he did make five tackles in five games for the Bulldogs in 2023. He will have three years of eligibility left to use at Michigan.
