CJ posted on Instagram, “I’m home.” He picked Oklahoma over Auburn, Georgia, LSU and Oklahoma State among others.

This dude is an ATHLETE that plays on both sides of the ball and is gonna be a two star athlete here! Thankful that this Edgemen class was filled with two dudes that are HOMEGROWN!! The future is bright for you kid! Boomer!”

LSU signed 4-star recruit CJ Nickson from Weatherford High School in Weatherford, OK. He is the No. 1 overall recruit in Oklahoma per 247Sports and ESPN.
In his senior season, Nickson made 17 receptions for 383 yards and 5 touchdowns. On the other side of the ball, he also had 54 tackles, 3 sacks, 9 QB hurries and 3 pass breakups.
Nickson earned honorable mention all-state acclaim as a wide receiver/tight end from The Oklahoman in 2023. He was also ranked No. 2 on The Oklahoman’s Super 30 list of recruits in the 2025 class.
