
JaQues Evans, a Baylor Bears transfer defensive end, has committed to join Colorado State via the NCAA Transfer Portal. On3’s Pete Nakos has confirmed the change.
Evans transferred to Baylor after several seasons as an all-conference player at Western Kentucky. He was selected the 2023 CUSA Preseason Defensive Player of the Year, however his junior season was cut short due to injury after only six games.
Evans made 106 tackles as a sophomore in 2022, with 14.0 tackles for a loss, 9.0 sacks, two fumble recoveries, a blocked kick, and five passes defense. For this, he was chosen to the 2022 All-Conference USA first team.
Evans had 182 tackles, 19.0 tackles for loss, 12.0 sacks, five fumble recoveries, three forced fumbles, a blocked kick, and seven passes defended during his four seasons at Western Kentucky. However, he only registered two total tackles in his one season with the Bears.
Prior to enrolling at Western Kentucky, Evans was regarded as a three-star recruit and the No. 723 overall talent in the 2020 recruiting class by On3 Industry Rankings. He was also ranked as the No. 18 athlete in his class and the No. 75 overall player in Georgia, coming from Dublin (GA) Dublin.

In addition, Ohio State transfer wide receiver Kojo Antwi has signed with Colorado State, according to On3’s Pete Nakos. On December 9, he entered the transfer portal.
Antwi played 11 games over three seasons at Ohio State. His one career reception came this past year, an eight-yarder versus Western Michigan. By retaining his redshirt in 2023, he will have two years of eligibility remaining as he transfers to Colorado State.
Antwi was a three-star football prospect at Suwanee (Ga.) Lambert High School. According to the On3 Industry Ranking, which is a weighted average of the four main recruiting media businesses, he was the No. 191 overall player in the 2022 cycle.
