Danica Patrick isn’t holding back her political thoughts ahead of Monday’s inauguration in Washington, D.C.
The former NASCAR and IndyCar driver voted for the first time in 2024. Patrick, long retired from competitive racing, voted for Donald Trump and J.D. Vance in the 2024 presidential election, over Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. It was Patrick’s first time voting in any election since becoming of legal age.
Patrick, 42, has made it clear that she leans right.
“I am not a liberal. I am somewhere between republican and independent. I think our country should be run by someone that knows business and has integrity. I believe we should be able to speak freely,” she previously wrote on social media.
“I love this country, and I have lived in other places. I believe when people of different opinions speak face to face, we realize we are more similar than different.”
Patrick has moved even further right since that statement, too. She continues to take to social media with politically-charged messages. Patrick had one this weekend, too, ahead of the inauguration on Monday.
The former NASCAR and IndyCar driver posted a two-word message for Democrats on her Instagram Story.
“Thank you,” she wrote in a shared post.
“We’re going to fix your mess and make sure you can’t break this country again. Mass deportations, a booming economy, and a strong military. Enjoy!🇺🇸,” the post read.
Patrick is expected to be in attendance for the inauguration on Monday, which has been moved inside the U.S. Capitol due to the frigid temperatures expected to hit Washington, D.C. on Monday.
The former NASCAR and IndyCar is diving head first into the political arena these days, that’s for sure.
