Stana Katic’s representative verified that she and her husband, Kris Brkljac, discreetly had a kid this winter.On Monday, the 44-year-old performer’s representative confirmed the news to Us Weekly. The actress and her husband ‘had a baby this winter and have been enjoying the time since cocooning as a family.’
The representative did not provide the child’s name or birthday in their statement. Katic earlier hinted at the child’s arrival in a Father’s Day-themed Instagram post including a trio of photos of herself enjoying time with her spouse.
With her final sentence, Katic implied that her family’s life included an extra member. The actress said, ‘We love you and are so thrilled we got to live this life together.’
In 2015, the performer and Brkljac married in a wedding ceremony in Croatia. The couple had been dating for several years before they decided to make it official.
Katic’s message marked the conclusion of a lengthy absence from her social media accounts. The performer’s final photo was published on October 23 of last year, with the message: ‘Gone fishing, see you in a week.’
The actress also sent a brief note to bid her fans farewell for the time being.
