/EINPresswire.com/ — December 30, 2024 — ATLANTA, GA, USA — Teddy Swims, a local Atlantan and Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter, stole the show at the 11th Annual Kegsmas Charity Event, which collected $50,000 to benefit the Atlanta Community Food Bank, the biggest food bank in the country. A community came together on December 20 for a one-night-only celebration at the historic Tabernacle Atlanta to support the fight against hunger in North Georgia and Atlanta.

In a statement issued by Atlanta Community Food Bank President and CEO Kyle Waide, the organisation expressed its profound appreciation to Teddy Swims for designating the Atlanta Community Food Bank as the beneficiary of this year’s Kegsmas. “Hunger is a problem all year round, not just around the holidays. With Teddy’s support, we can help feed families in need and spread the word about how important it is to donate, volunteer, and fight for hunger relief on a daily basis.”
In addition to Swims’ spectacular performance, officials from the Food Bank were on-site, giving information about their programs, resources, and services, including meal distribution, hunger education, and food access initiatives.
Swims started the Annual Kegsmas Charity Event in 2013 to bring the community together through music and giving back to causes near to his heart. Over the years, the event has developed into a treasured tradition, earning considerable dollars and publicity for local charities, with each year emphasising a different group making a big difference.

About Atlanta Community Food Bank
The Atlanta Community Food Bank works to end hunger with the food, people, and big ideas needed to ensure our neighbors have the nutrients to lead healthy and productive lives. Far too many people in our own town endure hunger every day. Through nearly 700 community-based, nonprofit partners in 29 counties, we help thousands of families, children, and seniors access healthy food every year. Our goal is that all hungry people across metro Atlanta and north Georgia will have access to the nutritious meals they need when they need them. It requires the power of our whole community to make that possible. In 2023, the Atlanta Community Food Bank provided its one billionth meal. Join us at ACFB.org.
